India's IAA chapter launches campaign to combat voter apathy

In an effort to combat voter apathy and inspire civic engagement, the International Advertising Association (IAA) India chapter has launched a new campaign encouraging citizens to vote for issues that matter most to them.

With the general elections approaching their final phase, the campaign utilises a series of digital posters bearing the pledge "I will vote" followed by a range of significant outcomes like improved family conditions, reduced bureaucracy, enhanced gender equality, and better support for women's work, among other pressing topics.

Avinash Pandey, president of the IAA India Chapter, emphasised that the initiative aims to mobilise urban voters, stating, "The campaign is completely apolitical and solely supports the cause of the Indian voter." This move comes as part of the IAA's broader mission to influence public interest positively through advertising.

The IAA is the only globally-focused integrated advertising trade association, with members from advertising agencies and media across 76 countries, including the world's top ten economies.  Globally headquartered in New York, the IAA’s Indian Chapter is noted for its invitation-only membership and active role in hosting significant industry events such as the IAA Leadership Awards, IAA Olive Crown Awards, and numerous other seminars and workshops.
