Landor announced the promotion of Lulu Raghavan to president for APAC—an elevation from her existing position as vice president for the region. During her 23-year-long tenure with the company, she has held various roles across several geographies, including San Francisco, New York, London and Mumbai. She will remain based in Mumbai and report to Christian Schroeder, global president of Landor.
Talking to Campaign, Schroeder said, “Raghavan and I have known each other for over 20 years, and she has done an amazing job at Landor. We now have about 150 people in India across Mumbai and Delhi and have tried to build global expertise with local understanding in the country. I am absolutely delighted that she will be managing the region with this team that we have built up over time in India and I think that it can only go from strength to strength from here.”
Raghavan, the winner of Campaign India's Women Leading Change in 2023, added, "I am honoured to take on the role of president for the APAC region. This is an exciting time for Landor, and I am eager to build on our strong foundation and continue to drive innovation and growth. I look forward to working closely with our talented teams across APAC to deliver exceptional value to our clients."
A self-confessed brand and design evangelist, Raghavan recently published her book ‘Go Further, Faster’, which she called a “practical guide to advancing one’s career”. It is based on her learnings at Landor and contains tips for career progression and ways to thrive in senior positions.
Landor & Fitch rebranded to Landor in November 2023, reflecting a five-year strategy to expand its consultancy, design, and experience offerings. The agency’s new ultramarine identity, inspired by water and the company's origins on a San Francisco ferry boat, incorporates a comprehensive brand system that includes visual, verbal, sonic, and motion elements.
The company also expanded its expertise by integrating sonic branding leaders Amp, workspace design experts BDG, and motion design specialists ManvsMachine. It grew its consulting capabilities, including a brand performance practice and an enhanced retail experience offering, following a merger with Fitch in 2020. Last March, Landor also strengthened its APAC leadership team with key appointments—Abel Sim as executive director of experience, and Damian Arce as creative director for Southeast Asia.
