TBWA India has hired Anand Narayan as vice president - account management for its Mumbai office. Narayan comes from JWT Bangalore. This is his second stint with TBWA.

TBWA India has hired Anand Narayan as vice president - account management for its Mumbai office. Narayan comes from JWT Bangalore. This is his second stint with TBWA.

Commenting about the appointment, Nirmalya Sen, MD, TBWAIndia said, "On the back of some significant new business wins, we are in the process of reinforcing the account management team. Anand is our most significant hire in this process. He is a passionate believer in the power of advertising and the impact it can have in shaping the fortune of brands. His mandate would be to lead a strong pool of brand management talent in Mumbai and to ensure our clients benefit from our philosophy - Disruption.”

Said Narayan, "It feels like coming home. I worked with TBWA in the early stages of my career and had the best time of my advertising life. I truly believe Disruption is the most powerful tool an agency can bring to the table and look forward to living it again. These are interesting times for TBWA India, and I really feel I am in the right place at the right time.”

Narayan began his career with TBWA Anthem (now TBWA India) and has also worked with Lowe (Chennai and Bangalore) and at Mudra (Bangalore). He has 12 years of brand and advertising experience and has worked on some brands such as Britannia, Levi’s, Nike, Henkel, ING Bank, the UB Group. At TBWA\Mumbai he will head an unit that handles brands such as Nissan, IDFC Mutual Funds, Angel Broking and Singapore Airlines, amongst others.

Gayatri Gogate, who came on board as vice president – account management some months back, will continue to head the other half of TBWA Mumbai’s business with brands such as Visa, Nivea, Standard Chartered Bank, among others.
