NDTV India appoints Sameer Kapoor as CEO

NDTV has announced the appointment of Sameer Kapoor as CEO of its Hindi news channel, NDTV India. As CEO, NDTV India, Kapoor will be responsible for driving the business of the channel apart from looking at revenues, distribution, general management and exploring new initiatives.Kapoor's experience spans across the publishing and consumer durables industry. Prior to NDTV India, he was president of the Metropolitan Media Company, the joint venture between the Times Group and HT Media, which publishes the tabloid Metro Now.

NDTV has announced the appointment of Sameer Kapoor as CEO of its Hindi news channel, NDTV India. As CEO, NDTV India, Kapoor will be responsible for driving the business of the channel apart from looking at revenues, distribution, general management and exploring new initiatives.

Kapoor's experience spans across the publishing and consumer durables industry. Prior to NDTV India, he was president of the Metropolitan Media Company, the joint venture between the Times Group and HT Media, which publishes the tabloid Metro Now.

Previously, Kapoor has worked with Scholastic India Corporation as managing director for two years. He has also worked with various consumer durables companies, specializing in marketing and sales. These include Carrier Aircon, Whirlpool and Bausch and Lomb.
