Imagine TV, formerly NDTV Imagine, which is now owned by Turner General Entertainment Networks (TGEN), has announced a restructuring and streamlining of its different businesses. Turner bought NDTV Imagine in December 2009.
Turner buys NDTV Imagine
Turner Asia Pacific Ventures (TAPV) has signed an agreement to buy NDTV's stake in NDTV Imagine, which is held through NDTV's subsidiary NDTV Networks plc.The total size of the transaction is $117 million (about Rs 546 crore).In an official statement, Anshuman Misra, managing director, Turner International India said, "Turner International has signed an agreement in principle to acquire 92% of NDTV Imagine, subject to regulatory and Time Warner board approval. We will provide complete details upon board approval."
