Goafest 2014: Over 1700 delegates on day one; ‘Most active co-operation from every segment of industry’: SK Swamy

The AAAI and Advertising Club’s Goafest 2014 kicks off today. Over 1,700 delegates are registered to attend thus far, with spot registrations also on offer at the venue, the Grand Hyatt.

Speaking with Campaign India, Srinivasan K Swamy, chairman of the festival’s organising committee, said, “The response from every segment of the industry has been fantastic. Delegates have been registered from each and every media agency, and most creative agencies, besides broadcasters, publishers and others. Everyone has chipped in to support the festival in some way. There are a host of sponsors who have willingly come forward to support the event. Ogilvy & Mather has helped us conceptualise an awards night. We’re grateful for all the support and look forward to the best Goafest ever.”

On the content and fun mix, Swamy said, “We have put together an event where it will be difficult for delegates to choose between a speaker and a fun event. It will be a challenge!”
On the award entries and response from the jury, he added, “All the juries have been extremely happy with the quality of entries. Every person who wins on every night of Goafest 2014 is a rock star.”

Goafest 2014 kicks off with an opening ceremony at 3 pm today, 29 May.
