Animal Planet revamps logo
Animal Planet has revamped its look with a new logo to mark its 10th anniversary in India. The new logo for the channel is designed by London-based Dunning Eley Jones.The channel will have on-air graphics and a variety of new programming including nature films, docu-soaps and docu-dramas. Some of the new shows include Equator, Lemur Street, Meerkat Manor, Animal Battlegrounds and Groomer Has It.
Discovery India to launch three channels by first quarter of 09
Discovery Networks India has applied to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to launch three new 24-hour channels – Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo and Discovery HD. Discovery currently has three channels in India, namely Discovery Channel, Discovery Travel & Living and Animal Planet. The Ministry approval is pending and the launch is expected in the first quarter of 2009.
