TIML converts Virgin to Absolute Radio
TIML has announced the launch plans of its music and entertainment brand, Absolute. The new brand has radio and digital at its core and a new presenter line up. The company is diversifying the business into new areas for its 5 million strong existing listeners and users, which will include areas such as stand alone branded properties, event ownership, TV and customer transactions like music subscriptions, downloads and ticketing. As reported by Campaign India earlier, the brand identity will be developed by Albion.
Times takeover of Virgin Radio completed
SMG PLC, in an announcement filed with the London Stock Exchange, confirmed the sale of Virgin Radio to TIML Golden Square Ltd (TIML), a wholly owned subsidiary of Times Infotainment Media Limited (part of the Times of India Group).
