Amazon launches online shopping service Junglee in India

Amazon has announced the launch of Junglee, a new online shopping service enabling customers to find and discover products available in India. Junglee organises product selection from Indian and global brands, and features buying options from online and offline retailers, including Amazon.com, in one place.

Indian retailers can list their products on Junglee.com and advertise their product selection to drive targeted customer traffic to their websites and physical stores at zero cost through Amazon Product Ads.

Commenting on the development, Amit Agarwal, vice president, Amazon.com, said, “Our goal with Amazon Seller Services is to help retailers of all sizes succeed and grow their business online. We’re excited to bring Amazon Seller Services to India and look forward to helping retailers take advantage of the Junglee.com shopping experience and Amazon’s product advertising expertise to showcase their selection to customers across the globe. We will continue to expand Amazon Seller Services in India and invest in helping local businesses build their brand and increase sales, while lowering the cost of selling their products online.”

Junglee organises product selection and buying options across more than 25 categories with product information and customer reviews from multiple sources, including Amazon.com, available in one convenient place. When customers are ready to buy a product, Junglee directs them to a seller’s website or physical store to complete the purchase.
