Campaign India Adland Predictions: ICC World Cup 2011 – Weekend matches

With the team standings still undecided, the last leg of league matches scheduled over the weekend will be crucial for many. Here is what our folks are predicting:

Anant Rangaswami

Bangladesh v South Africa

This one won’t be close; South Africa will win in a canter.

Australia v Pakistan

Pakistan has the luxury of knowing they are in the quarter finals; they will not find the motivation to try hard.

Kenya v Zimbabwe

Kenya is a minnow, no question about that. Zimbabwe is too good for them.

India v West Indies

There are too many Indian players who need to prove a point, especially the bowlers. I see an improved performance by the bowlers and an India win

Prashant Singh

Bangladesh v South Africa

South Africa could spoil the English party, if they decide to lose. But I will go with SA for this one.

Australia v Pakistan

I will go with Pakistan. They have been playing in Sri Lanka and could pose problems for a not so confident Australian middle order.

Kenya v Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is my favorite to win this one.

India v West Indies

India. We better!!! Spinners will play a key role here, Ashwin may be key factor. It will be a gripping game... 250 plus is a winning score... We have the batting to get there and the spinners to defend it...

Hiren Pandit

Bangladesh v South Africa

Clearly South Africa, given the way they are playing and the bowling attack that they have.

Australia v Pakistan

I would like Pakistan to win this as they seem to have the talent but are not living up to it. Australia has not been really challenged so far. I will go with Australia as they are a complete team playing to their potential.

Kenya v Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe, out of the experience that they have.

India v West Indies

India, they have no choice and Ashwin should play to counter Gayle.
