The Grand Prix rush for India continued on the final day of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
dentsu Creative created history by becoming the first Indian agency to win the coveted 'global agency of the year' title at the Lions.
On day five, Leo Burnett also bagged a Grand Prix for Whisper’s ‘The Missing Chapter’ in the Sustainable Development Goals category.
India won eight Lions on the evening, including two Titanium Lions. The total Lion count for India is 47, making it a Cannes Lions record.
Titanium Lions
dentsu Creative and Ogilvy bagged a Titanium Lion each. dentsu’s win was for Vice Media’s ‘The Unfiltered History Tour’. Ogilvy’s Titanium Lion was for Cadbury Celebrations’ ‘Shah Rukh Khan – My Ad'.
Film Lions
FCB India’s ‘Chatpat’ (created by Kinnect) for SOS Children’s Village won a Silver and Bronze Lion each.
DDB Mudra Group won Bronze for Battlegrounds Mobile India’s ‘Machine Gun – Mouth’ entry.
Sustainable Development Goals Lions
Leo Burnett India won the Grand Prix for Whisper’s ‘The Missing Chapter’ in this category.
VMLY&R won a Silver Lion for Unilever’s ‘Smart Fill’.
Glass Lions
VMLY&R bagged the only Indian win in this category – a Bronze for Unipads' 'Adeli'.
