JustBooks, the first brand in its portfolio from Bengaluru, will be handled from Scarecrow's Mumbai office. The mandate is to encourage reading.

Scarecrow Communications has bagged the creative duties of Justbooks Clc, a Bengaluru-headquartered community library chain with a presence in 10 cities.

This will be the first brand in Scarecrow's portfolio from Bengaluru, and will be handled out of the agency's Mumbai office.

Commenting on Scarecrow's appointment, R Sundar Rajan, founder and chief executive officer, JustBooks, said, "We are excited to partner with Scarecrow in our attempt to redefine libraries as a new generation platform connecting books and readers. Building a brand around a traditional neighborhood service, can present lot of interesting challenges and we look forward to work with the creative team at Scarecrow in getting people back to reading."

Raghu Bhat, founder director, Scarecrow Communications, said, “JustBooks is our first ever client from Bengaluru. This is a huge moment for Scarecrow. Being a book lover myself, it will be doubly satisfying if our campaigns succeed in making more people visit JustBooks, which has the most charming libraries I have ever seen."

Manish Bhatt, also founder director, Scarecrow Communications, added, "Reading is the the only addiction that is healthy. We are grateful for this opportunity to encourage more people take up the reading habit."

JustBooks, started by retail and technology professionals, was incubated at the NSRCEL (N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning) at IIM Bangalore.
