Speaker line-up announced for Kyoorius DesignYatra 2012

The theme for this year's Kyoorius DesignYatra is ‘The Divide’, which aims to examine the issues which divide the creative output of the industry and discover insights and resolutions.

This year's speakers include from the corporate sector Aapo Bovellan, director brand and marketing, Nokia; and Bill Lunderman, vice president global strategic brand design, Colgate Palmolive, USA;

From the social network side is Ji Lee, creative director, Facebook.

From the creative agency and design agency side would be Josy Paul, chief creative officer and chairman, BBDO India; Ambrish Arora, chief executive officer, Design Principal, Lotus; Hanif Kureshi, senior creative, Wiedin+ Kennedy, Delhi; Karl Heiselman, chief executive officer, Wolff Olins USA; Sander Ejlenberg, creative director, Icemobile & muse; Kentaro Kimura, chief executive officer and executive creative director, Hakuhodo Kettle, Japan; Lies Willers, director, Opera, Amsterdam; Marian Bantjes, a designer, typographer and illustrator from Canada; Masashi Kawamura, executive creative director, Party Japan; Michael Gough, vice president, Adobe Experience Design; Nike Roope, executive creative director, Poke UK; Paul Barnes, founder, Commercial Type, UK; and Debbie Millman, president, Sterling Brands USA as moderator.

The 2012 edition of the visual communications conference will also see the launch of a 'Digital Day', where the focus will be on social media. The presenters will share real world case studies from a diverse range of companies who have proven that investing in good design solutions means good business.

Rajesh Kejriwal, chief executive officer, Kyoorius, said, “The look, feel, messages and tone of the conference are designed keeping in mind the evolution of communication within India. In its seventh year, Kyoorius DesignYatra will continue to serve as a valuable meeting point for agencies in India and abroad in the sphere of design, branding and visual communications. It will provide an opportunity to understand and learn from some of the finest minds in the field, delve into their creative process and be inspired by their work.”

Kyoorius DesignYatra 2012 is scheduled from 30 August to 1 September 2012, at Grand Hyatt, Goa.
