Breaking news: Free books replace free booze at this year's Goafest
Goafest 2010 has arrived at some significant decisions based on the feedback that the Festival is becoming "too much of fun and frolic" and "too little about knowlede sharing".The Goafest 2010 committee has therefore unanimously decided that there will be no free booze served at this year's edition of the festival.Instead, delegates will be able to benefit from a wealth of literature on advertising, consumer behaviour and social media that will be made available free of cost for delegates.
Channel [V], Campaign India to host FYI 2010
Channel [V] in partnership with Campaign India is set to launch FYI — Forum for Youth Insights on March 11th, 2010 in Mumbai. Conceptualised as a one-day conference, the forum will feature speakers from around the world who will share insights on the challenges and opportunities of marketing to youth. The one-day conference will also see the release of a research study titled Project Bloody Cool, which will look at delving deeper into the lives of the youth today and understand their preferences and attitudes in order to identify trends of tomorrow.

My colleague (and the publisher of Campaign India) Jim James and I were scheduled to meet at Raj Nayak’s office at Bandra east at 10.30 am. Jim had to drive from Breach Candy and I from Bandra west.Jim reached early, having budgeted 45 minutes and doing the drive in 20. I reached early as well, budgeting 20 minutes and reaching in seven minutes or so.Raj saw us immediately, not waiting for the scheduled time.
