Gift your loved ones 'yourself' says Nokia in its Diwali film

Nokia has released a film for the festive season. Conceptualised by Dentsu One, the film pushes the message of spending time with your loved ones for the festival.

It shows the story of a young man and his mother. The lady is upset about the fact that the man spends too much time on his phone (for work) and has very little time for her.  The man doesn't look too bothered about the same and leaves for work in a hurry. He gets back home late at night and enters his mother's room. She's sleeping. The lady wakes up to a gift by her side. She opens it excitedly and is confused as finds her son's phone in the box. She asks him why. The man says that he's giving her his phone for the day along with himself, so that the duo can spend Diwali together without having any interruptions.

Titus Upputuru, NCD, Dentsu One, said, "Everyone's talking about gifting these days. During any festive season, the market is full of offers, discounts and gifts. In such a scenario, the Nokia Mobile campaign stands out because it says that there is no better gift than oneself. It is a fact that we are all occupied with our phones today, almost all of our waking lives. More so the youth that we are engaging with. Which is why this campaign makes so much more sense. We had fun creating the film and the whole gamut of ideas that explode the idea of gifting oneself."

The film was published on 29 September and has amassed more than 2.7 million hits.
