350 delegates register for eighth edition of OAC in Mumbai

 

Over 350 delegates have registered for the eigth edition of the Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC). The two-day convention gets underway today at the Renaissance, Powai, in Mumbai today.
 
Sachin Jante of VJ Media Works, organisers of the convention, said, "We have received 350 registrations for the convention till date and anticipate another 100 spot registrations."
The theme for this years OAC is 'disrupt the status quo'. The event will culminate with an awards ceremony on 9 June.
 
Confirmed speakers at OAC 2012 include Santosh Padhi of Taproot, Sunder Hemrajani of Times Innovative Media, Nabendu Bhattacharya of Milestone Brandcom, Ambika Srivastava of Vivaki Media Exchange, Mandeep Malhotra of Mudra Max, Benjamin Nagel of BMW India, Hemanth Shah of Lintas Initiative Outdoor, Sandip Tarkas of Future Group, Noomi Mehta of Selvel One Group, Meenakshi Menon of Spatial Access, Mangesh Borse of Symbiosis Advertising, Abhijit Sengupta of OAP and Touchpoint, Ajay Kakar of Aditya Birla Group, Mallikarjunadas CR of SMG India, Sunjjoy Daadhicch of Explo Media, Mukesh Manik of M-I-C Encyclomedia Networks, Pawan Bansal of Jagran Engage, and Punitha Arumugam of Google India.
 
The judging process for the awards process this year has been reworked, from two perspectives. Firstly, seperate panels were formed for the creative and media entries with each category having different judging days. Secondly, agencies entering the Media Plan of the Year category were given the opportunity to make a detailed presentation to the jury.
 
Premier sponsors for this year's event are Milestone Brandcom and Times OOH. PrintWeek India and Campaign India are media partners.
