9X on the religion bandwagon

9X today announced the launch of the devotional programme, Jai Maa Vaishno Devi, in a bid to attract the religious minded audiences in the Hindi Speaking Markets (HSM). The show, produced by Creative Eye Productions, will air on primetime Mondays to Thursdays beginning April 28.

Speaking at the launch, Indrani Mukerjea, Founder & CEO INX Media, said, “Jai Maa Vaishno Devi is a story about the divine as well as the devotees, thus making the show a fusion of devotional narration and family drama. The show has been created with sensitivity and authenticity and revolves around the stories of Mata Vaishno Devi and her devotees, and the transformation the goddess brings in their lives. We are confident that Jai Maa Vaishno Devi will touch millions of hearts across the nation.”
