Anant’s Goafest Diary: Creativity with a Conscience and drinking responsibly

By yesterday, the teams working on the Creativity with Conscience (CWC) competition were scrambling to finish their installations, and a healthy stress was palpable by early afternoon.

Subhash Kamath and Lynn De Souza had arrived by then, and their walking around the work area perhaps underlined the fact that this was serious business.

By about four, more worthies had walked in. Anish Trivedi, CNBC’s Suresh Venkatraman, MTV’s Jaideep Singh, EuroRSCG Digital’s Ashok Lalla, Gitanjali Sriram had walked in; all of them, barring Gitanjali, were to be part of a panel discussion on Social Media at 6.00, with the participants in the CWC competition being captive attendees.

The panel discussion was short and sweet, and the bar opened by.7.00. Had a beer with Nagesh Alai, when I got a call from Martin Da Costa of Seventy, asking me to join him and Neeraj Nayar for a beer at a shack just outside the Zuri.

Nagesh and I ambled across, and made Martin’s table bigger. Caught up with him and with Neeraj. Subhash, Gitanjali, Anish, Jaideep made the table bigger still. Rajesh Jog, Elroy and Arnab from Triature joined the gang.

Long, hard-drinking evening. None of us was driving, so I guess this was drinking responsibly.

Done with breakfast this morning, and I’m off to check out the CWC entries. The winning team (teams of 10) members will each win a BlackBerry 3G Curve 9300, courtesy Law & Kenneth, who said ‘yes’ to the request in about 30 seconds. Thank you, Praveen.

It’s an easy morning; I finish writing this and the rest of my team will be in. Plan for the day and ensure that all of you get your fix of Goafest: video interviews, twitter updates, the works. Follow Campaign_India and keep abreast; Hindustan Times is sponsoring all the content we’re churning out here, so thank you, HT.
