BARC India dismayed with Republic Network's actions

Follows Republic Network revealing e-mail exchange between channel and the television measurement body

BARC India dismayed with Republic Network's actions
BARC India released a statement on 18 October through which it stated that it's doing its job and providing assistance to the law enforcement agency and is 'highly disappointed' with Republic TV's actions.

The statement follows Republic Network stating that BARC's e-mail exchange with the network contradicts what Param Bir Singh, police commissioner, Mumbai Police, said in the media. Earlier on 18 October, Republic TV stated that BARC India confirmed that there was never a case against the network and there was no malpractice or illegality found against it.

Through the statement the measurement body also added that it's highly disappointed with Republic TV as it disclosed private and confidential communications. BARC India stated that it's not commented on the ongoing investigation at all and is dismayed at the actions of the Republic Network.
