BIG CBS Love to go on-air from March 21

Big CBS Networks, a joint venture between Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (RBNL) and CBS Studios International, has announced the launch of its second channel - Big CBS Love. This is the second channel from the network, following the launch of CBS Prime in November 2010. The third channel, targeted at youth audiences, BIG CBS Spark is expected to go on-air by April. Primarily focused towards women, the channel will begin its test feed from March 14.

Speaking on the launch, Aparnaa Pande, general manager, BIG CBS Networks said, “We have paid close attention to the entertainment preferences of our audiences when designing the program layout, and have tailor made it to fulfil programming requirements that they can enjoy as a couple.”

The channel will feature international shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show, America’s Next Top Model, and Everybody Loves Raymond among others. Shows created exclusively for the Indian audience are expected to go on-air after six to seven months. BIG CBS Love will be focusing their marketing efforts in the digital space along with other mediums like television, radio, print and OOH.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, BIG CBS launched the channel through an esteemed panel of today’s contemporary women. The discussion, hosted on Bloomberg UTV, had Mini Mathur, Shaina NC, Neetu Chandra, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Punitha Arumugam, chief executive officer, Madison Media Group sharing their views on entertainment that they seek and enjoy, not just alone, but with their partners.

From the day of its launch, the channel will be available across all major digital cable and DTH platforms.
