Devika Dayal promoted as national revenue head at A+E Networks|TV18

A+E Networks|TV18 has announced the promotion of Devika Dayal, from senior vice president to national revenue head with immediate effect. This move, the network informed, is a part of the leadership re-alignment now underway at Network18 News Media, the client facing ad sales unit which manages the advertising interests of the news and factual entertainment channels at Network18 Group.

Commenting on the larger re-alignment at Network18 News Media, Sanjay Dua, chief executive officer, Network18 News Media, said, “We believe that our brands are well-placed to build further on their leadership, both in terms of innovative client solutions as well as a strong network proposition. Each of our leaders comes with a proven track record and we believe that Devika’s expertise will be crucial as we move forward on our growth plans”

Ajay Chacko, president, A+E Networks|TV18, said, "Devika has been instrumental in ensuring advertising traction for HistoryTV18 is commensurate with its strong brand and viewership performance since launch. As we build HistoryTV18 further and plan other forays at A+E Networks|TV18, her perspective will be essential to our success in monetising our brands."

Speaking on her elevation, Dayal added, “It’s been an exciting year for HistoryTV18 and me. We’ve made significant efforts in establishing the brand in the market and now the task is to further capitalise on this growth momentum. I look forward to working with the team in ensuring we innovate and grow further from here.”

Dayal has over a decade of experience in ad sales with stints at Zee, Discovery Communications prior to joining Network18 Group in 2005.
