ET Now goes on-air

ET Now, the business news channel from the Bennett Coleman & Co stable saw a quiet launch on Wednesday. The channel, which adds to BCCL’s existing bouquet of TV channels with Times Now and Zoom, will compete in the English business news space with CNBC-TV18, NDTV Profit and UTVi.

ET Now, the business news channel from the Bennett Coleman & Co stable saw a quiet launch on Wednesday. The channel, which adds to BCCL’s existing bouquet of TV channels with Times Now and Zoom, will compete in the English business news space with CNBC-TV18, NDTV Profit and UTVi.

BCCL has stated that the new channel, which is being positioned as "The Economic Times" advantage, will leverage the journalistic resources that ET has, and optimise newsroom integration. The channel has brought on board an editorial team consisting of journalists like R Sridharan, Andy Mukherjee, Siddhartha Dubey, Abheek Barman, Nikunj Dalmia and Muralidhar Swaminathan among others. The channel will be headed by Chintamani Rao as CEO of Times Global Broadcasting (pictured).
