Alok Nanda Communications and JWT India bagged a Grand Prix each at the Creative Abbys at Goafest 2014. Winners were announced on 30 May, the second day of the three-day festival.
JWT bagged its Grand Prix for its entry ‘Genomusic Project’ for Bay beat Collective in the Direct Category. The agency also bagged four Gold, eight Silver and seven Bronze metals. Two of the Gold wins came in Print Craft category - one each 'Antique Shop', 'Music Store' and House for Godrej Security and the other for Kit Kat entries ‘Break free – Snail’, ‘Break free – Tortoise’ and ‘Break free – Armadillo’. The agency also bagged one Gold for Bay Beat Collective in the ‘Brand Activation’ category. The fourth Gold for JWT was in the Brand Activation and Promotion category for its entry ‘Sirf Dekhneka Nahi’ for the Indian Premier League on Sony Max.
Alok Nanda Communications won the Grand Prix in the Design category for its entry ‘The Rising’ for India Bulls Group. The agency also bagged three Gold and two Silver awards, besides a Bronze. One of the three Golds were for ‘The Rising’ for Indiabull in the Ambient category, while the other two were in Design for ‘I Like this train too’ for Filter Press.
Umbrella Design won four Gold and three Silver awards, besides a Bronze. Three of the agency’s Gold wins came in the Design category – two for its entry ‘The Spirit Called Youth’ for Integriti. The other Gold was for Lawman ‘Be The Star’. The fourth Gold was in Print Craft for ‘Be the Star – Lawman’.
Taproot, with 21 metals, was the most awarded agency in terms of total number of awards. The agency bagged three Gold, eight Silver and 10 Bronze awards. One Gold win was for Farmer Suicides for The Times of India in the Design category. The same piece of work bagged Golds in the Corporate and Illustration categories.
Digital Law & Kenneth bagged four metals on the night, which included two Golds, a Silver and Bronze. The Golds came in the Branded Content category for Tata Capital’s ‘Half Stories – The Journey of Doning Right’ and Idea Cellular ‘Idea M-ID’.
DDB Mudra bagged a total of six metals on the night, one of which was Gold. The Gold win in Ambient was for Country Inn Hotels’ entry ‘Earth Hour’. The agency also bagged a Silver and four Bronze metals.
Dentsu India bagged a Gold and three Bronze metals on the night. The Gold win was for 'Make New Friends’ for Friendicoes SECA in the OOH category.
Draft FCB Ulka (now FCB Ulka) also bagged a Gold in its tally of four metals. The Gold win came in the OOH category for its entry ‘Riot’ for Zee 24 Taas. The agency also bagged a Silver and two Bronze awards.
Milestone Brandcom was another agency that scooped four metals. The agency bagged one Gold and three Bronze trophies. The Gold win was for Viacom18 - Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in Branded Content.
Candid Marketing bagged three metals in all - a Gold, a Silver and a Bronze . The Gold was in Brand Activation and Promotion for Nokia Agent ‘1020’ for Nokia India.
Kukooness also bagged three metals - a Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Gold was in Print Craft for the entry ‘You are a Dingbat’ for Papers by Kyoorius.
PHD India also had the Gold, Silver and Bronze combination. The Gold was for Kan Khajura Tesan in the Direct category, for HUL.
MTV India bagged a Gold for ‘Ceat MTV Chase The Monsoon’ in the Branded Content category. It also bagged a Bronze.
Webchutney was also among Gold-winners. It won the metal in the Ambient category for Only Much Louder entry ‘Wasted Bin’. The agency also bagged a Bronze.
Contract Advertising won a Gold in the 'Best use of integration of user generated content' category for First post you speak - Talk Don't Just Type.
