Happy makes slew of appointments
Happy has appointed Mark Flory as associate creative director. Flory comes in from JWT, where he has worked on business such as Levi’s, Nike, Black Dog, Van Heusen and Kingfisher Ultra. Having started his career at McCann Erickson Bangalore, he has had stints with Dentsu and Orchard Bangalore.

Speaking about Flory's appointment, Kartik Iyer and Praveen Das, founders, Happy said, "Mark comes with the right balance of talent, energy and experience that matches perfectly with what we were looking for. Considering we're not an 'advertising agency', finding the right talent that has the ability to think beyond one is imperative. He's a cool guy. And we like that about him."

"Him being a gamer kinda titled things his way", adds Iyer.

Said Flory about the appointment, "What attracted me to Happy was their ‘The Big Idea’ approach. If the idea’s big enough, everything else falls into place. I look forward to working with this one big Happy family, to give birth to The Next Big Idea. My objective is to actively contribute to Happy's journey of being a global creative superpower. And to be Happy, of course!"

In addition, Happy has also roped in Akshay Ananth as director - business relations. Ananth, too, comes in from JWT Bangalore, where he was account director and worked on accounts such as Kingfisher, Van Heusen and V Dot, among others. The agencies that he has worked in previously include Contract, Lowe, Mudra and Leo Burnett.

Speaking about his appointment, Iyer and Das said, "Akshay again is an experienced man with varied interests. Besides being an ardent quizzer and information junkie, he's a mini entrepreneur in himself. True to Happy's philosophy of hiring people with multi dimensional capabilities, Akshay was a no brainer."

"I have been in the advertising industry for a while now, experienced many a 'good times' and have always believed that this industry is driven by ideas. Over the years I have also have seen how this idea business has depreciated due to various reasons (internal and external). Bigger agencies have always focussed on targets, commissions and businesses more than ideas, which I believe, is the heart and soul of this profession," said Ananth.

He added, "I have always believed in the power of ideas and followed Happy since its inception. Happy Creative Services is a bunch of young and passionate souls fuelled with ideas, loaded with self belief and powered with conviction. I found a perfect mix in Happy, which has all the ingredients to create a magic potion called IDEAS. This is the only thing that will make me sleep a happy man at the end of the day. In short, its time I transformed my life from 'Good Times' to "HAPPY TIMES".

Recently, Happy has also roped in Ravi Bhat as manager, business relations.
