HUL elevates Madhusudhan Rao and Deepak Subramanian

Prabha Narasimhan to exit and Priya Nair gets new global CMO role

HUL has announced the elevation of Madhusudhan Rao and Deepak Subramanian. 
 
Rao has been appointed as executive director, beauty and wellbeing and personal care while Subramanian is now executive director, home care, HUL. 
 
Rao was executive vice president-home and hygiene and will take over from Priya Nair, who will move into her new global role as beauty and wellbeing, chief marketing officer. 
 
Subramanian was VP-home care, SEAA, global head, fabric enhancers category and will take over from Prabha Narasimhan, who has decided to leave the company to pursue an external opportunity.
 
Rao had joined HUL in 1991 and has helped shape the home and hygiene category as a successful business with a distinctive high-performance culture. 
 
Subramanian had joined HUL in 1995 as a management trainee. In his previous role as SEAA global head, he improved HUL's business profitability whilst strengthening the top-line growth.

He has demonstrated superior business acumen in building new categories, primarily in start-up business verticals. I am certain that they will take the business to the next level of performance.”
