India@Cannes 2012: Two shortlists in Radio, eight in Design, none in Cyber Lions

DDB Mudra Group bags six shortlists; BBH India, TBWA\India, McCann Worldgroup and Leo Burnett also in the race for metal

India@Cannes 2012: Two shortlists in Radio, eight in Design, none in Cyber Lions

Ten more Indian entries made it to shortlists on day three of the 59th International Festival of Creativity at Cannes. Shortlists were announced in the Design, Radio and Cyber Lions categories.

Design Lions

Eight Indian entries are among 169 shortlists in the Design Lions category. Of these, six are from DDB Mudra Group.

The agency's 'The Hinglish Project' for the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (Incredible India) has been shortlisted in two sub-categories. The agency's work for client Volkswagen has resulted in three shortlists - 'Moustache Gym' and 'Musical Jungle' for Volkswagen Attention Assist System; and 'Iconic' for the Beetle.The entry 'Stay Alert - New York Blackout' for Geebee Beverages' Coffee Gold has also been shortlisted.
 
BBH India's 'Chaplin Chapters' for client Movies Now is among those shortlisted for a Design Lion, and so is TBWA\India's 'Elephant Combs Logo Design' for client MKV Household Products.

Indian agencies have sent 134 entries in the Design Lions category. In all, organisers received 2182 entries, an increase from 1774 in 2011.  

Radio Lions

In the Radio Lions category, two Indian entries have been shortlisted. 

McCann Worldgroup India’s ‘Delay’ for Lasky Herbal has made it to the shortlist. The other shortlisted entry in this category from India was  Leo Burnett's ‘Punishment’ for Strand Book Stall. 

In all, 185 of the 1784 entries were shortlisted  in the Radio Lions category this year. Indian agencies sent 55 entries, registering a drop from 78 last year. 

Cyber Lions

Indian agencies continued their disappointing run in the Cyber Lions category, with none of the 27 entries getting shortlisted. 

This year, 172 of the 2458 entries received in the Cyber Lions category were shortlisted.
