PVR Inox revamps management; restructures INR 600 crore media business

The cinema exhibitor is looking at growing its media business across new markets in India, under the restructuring led by chief sales officer Shalu Sabharwal.

Cinema exhibitor PVR Inox has restructured its INR 600 crore media business, with a focus on deepening market connections and driving growth across the country. Under the leadership of its chief sales officer, Shalu Sabharwal, who has been with the company for 26 years, the company has established a new team placing industry experts in various business development roles across India.

As per the revamped structure, PVR Inox has appointed Gaurav Shukla, Sharda Ganti, Rajesh Makhija, and Shalini Marianathan as its new regional heads. In addition, it has onboarded Saurabh Bhambri as senior vice president for media business and Traptika Chauhan as head–agency business and pre-sales. Both these officers, who earlier served in leadership roles at Paytm, will collaborate with the newly appointed regional heads.

Gautam Dutta, CEO, revenue and operations, PVR Inox, said, “By bringing in industry experts and focusing on key areas like data-driven decision-making and sponsorship opportunities, we are positioning PVR Inox as a dominant force in the media business.”

PVR Inox plans to employ advanced data analytics for informed decision making and efficiency improvement. It will prioritise online and offline media platforms for maximum visibility for its brand and clients. By focusing on sponsorships and naming rights, it is looking to build partnerships and explore new monetisation opportunities. Going forward, PVR Inox also plans to outsource the responsibility of key markets to skilled candidates to expand its reach and impact.
