Sam Ahmed, vice chairman and chief creative officer, Rediffusion Y&R, will exit the agency in December 2013.
Diwan Arun Nanda. chairman and MD, Rediffusion Y&R, confirmed the development.
He said, "Sam Ahmed is currently serving his notice period, until mid-December. He will be going back to filmmaking, which he was doing earlier."
Nanda added that Komal Bedi Sohal, NCD, would continue to run the creative department.
Ahmed had come on board in January 2013.
It is learnt that he will move back to filmmaking full time.
