Srinivasan K Swamy is chairman, CAAAA

Srinivasan K Swamy, chairman, RK SWAMY Hansa Group has been appointed chairman of Confederation of Asian Advertising Agency Associations (CAAAA). He will serve in this capacity for two years. Swamy takes over from outgoing chairman Yutaka Narita.The other members include Harris Thajeb, Indonesia (vice-chairman), Toshiharu Kanesaka, Japan (Secretary), Anthony Kang, Singapore (treasurer), Nak-Ha Kim, South Korea (treasurer), Nak-Ha Kim, South Korea (executive committee member) and Yutaka Narita, Japan (immediate past chairman and ex-officio member).

Srinivasan K Swamy, chairman, RK SWAMY Hansa Group has been appointed chairman of Confederation of Asian Advertising Agency Associations (CAAAA). He will serve in this capacity for two years. Swamy takes over from outgoing chairman Yutaka Narita.

The other members include Harris Thajeb, Indonesia (vice-chairman), Toshiharu Kanesaka, Japan (Secretary), Anthony Kang, Singapore (treasurer), Nak-Ha Kim, South Korea (treasurer), Nak-Ha Kim, South Korea (executive committee member) and Yutaka Narita, Japan (immediate past chairman and ex-officio member).

Swamy has served as the president of Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) for three consecutive terms between 2004 and 2007. He is also a governing council member of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI).

On being elected as a chairman of CAAAA, Swamy said, “There are three important things that need our attention. First, is to develop a set of ‘business practices’ that would make our industry strong; second, to induct more countries as members into CAAAA fold; and third is to do activities and events which will make CAAAA a financially strong body to take on other industry-building efforts.”

Yutaka Narita, former chairman of Denstu Inc., Japan and outgoing chairman of CAAAA commented, “I am quite confident that under the leadership of Mr. Swamy, the CAAAA would continue its mission and achieve greater heights. My best wishes and support from the Japan Advertising Agencies Associationare with him to make this mission a purposeful one.”

CAAAA works as a forum where representatives of advertising agency associations in the Asian region come together to discuss issues concerning the advertising agencies. CAAAA was registered as a Society in Singapore three years ago.
