Steve Gatfield exits Lowe Worldwide
Steve Gatfield, the Lowe Worldwide chief executive, is set to leave the network in April next year.Tony Wright, the chairman of Lowe Worldwide, is leading the search for Gatfield's replacement alongside Michael Roth, the chief executive of Lowe's holding company, Interpublic Group.Wright and Roth have already begun discussions with a number of candidates, both in the UK and internationally, for the London-based role.Gatfield is leaving the network to focus on identifying emerging channels, new ventures and markets, especially in relation to new technology, for IPG.
LINOpinion promotes Ameer Ismail to executive director
Lowe has announced the promotion of Ameer Ismail, head, LINOpinion, to executive director. While he continues to be in charge of LINOpinion, Ismail (pictured) will work closely with Lowe’s Worldwide management team. He will report directly to Steve Gatfield, CEO Lowe Worldwide and EVP Interpublic Group, with respect to future strategic developments for the company in India and in partnership with other IPG companies outside India.

Ashish Bhasin, executive vice president of Lowe Worldwide and Asia regional director for Integrated Marketing has put in his papers. He spent close to 19 years at the agency. Prior to his elevation as executive vice president, Lowe Worldwide, Bhasin was director – Integrated Marketing Action Group (IMAG), Lintas India.
Pranesh Misra: Life after Lowe
After 28 steady years with the company, Lowe’s Pranesh Misra has put in his papers. Misra, who is currently global director, marketing and accountability, Lowe Worldwide is leaving to pursue entrepreneurial interests. He is in the process of setting up a knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) venture to be titled Brandscapes, which has been registered as a private limited entity in India and is getting registered as Brandscapes Worldwide in USA, UK and Singapore.
