(Editor’s note: As the Awards Governing Council has not assigned weightages to metals, we have followed the Olympic system of scoring for the Abby Awards again this year, according to which most Grand Prix awards scores over most Golds, scores over most Silvers and, finally, most Bronzes.)
Ogilvy India picked up the first Grand Prix awarded for the Creative Abby Awards in the Digital and Interactive category at Goafest 2012. The agency won it in the Online Integrated Campaign sub-category for their entry ‘Photographs Case’ for Fox Crime. Ogilvy also won two Golds, one Silver and one Bronze in the category. There were no other Gold winners in this category.

Maxus has won four Silvers and three Bronzes in the Digital category, and is followed by Interface Business Solutions and Webchutney with one Silver and Bronze each.
BBDO India, Contract Advertising, Creativeland Asia, Indigo Consulting and Jack In The Box Worldwide won one Silver each. Grey India won six Bronzes, while AgencyDigi picked up three Bronzes in the category. BC Webwise, DDB Mudra Group, Digitas India, Eleven Brandworks, GroupM - The Dialogue Factory, JWT India, Publicis Communications and Wunderman International won a Bronze each.
In the Design category, there was no Grand Prix but DDB Mudra, Ogilvy India and Sapient Nitro India won a Gold each. Ogilvy India won the Gold in the Craft In Design sub-category for entry titled ‘Mentos Sour Marbels’. The agency has also won three Silvers and two Bronzes.
DDB Mudra Group won a Gold for ‘Steadfast Shredders’ in the Posters sub-category. The agency won two Silvers and Bronze metals as well. Sapient Nitro India’s sound installation for Absolut entered in the Environment Design sub-category won Gold and won a Silver as well.
Alok Nanda & Co. won two Silvers and three Bronzes; Leo Burnett won two Silvers and two Bronzes; Grant McCann Erickson (Sri Lanka) and Grey India picked up two Silvers each. Out of the Box and The Flagship Advertising bagged a Silver and Bronze each. Taproot India also won a Silver in the category. The other winners in the category included Happy with two Bronzes and XOX Design with a sole Bronze.
There was no Grand Prix awarded in the Direct category as well. Ogilvy India picked up three Gold metals in the Direct Response (TV), Direct Response Digital and Direct Campaign sub-categories for Fox Crime’s case titled ‘The Photographs Case’, and another Gold in the Dimensional Mail sub-category for ITC Maurya. The agency also won a Silver in this category. Leo Burnett won a Gold in the Dimensional Mail sub-category for Gandhijifont – Now in Hardcover sub-category. The agency also picked up a Bronze. Jack In The Box Worldwide picked up its solitary metal, a Gold in the Direct Response Digital sub-category for ‘Why This Kolaveri Di?’ song from the movie ‘3’. DDB Mudra Group also won a Silver in the category for Star Movies.
Taproot India followed with three Silvers and Bronzes. Creativeland Asia picked up two Silvers in this category. BBDO India and M&C Saatchi have won a Silver and Bronze each. Grey India and JWT followed with a Silver each. DDB Mudra Group won two Bronzes, while Beehive Communications and Out of the Box won a Bronze each.
