9X continues forward march

Jockeying for the number three slot in the Hindi General Entertainment Channel (GEC) space continues. According to aMap data for week 17, 9X from the INX stable is now the third most popular channel after STAR Plus and Zee TV. In a week that saw all GEC viewership affected by the Indian Premier League, 9X has held its own. In the C&S 4+ (West, North and East) segment, STAR Plus leads with 298 GRPs, followed by Zee TV (173 GRPs) and 9X (92 GRPs).

This has been a good week for 9X, with the launch of their religious program Jai Maa Vaishnodevi and the soft launch of the channel in the UK.

NDTV Imagine (81 GRPs) surrenders the third spot to 9X, while Sony is the biggest loser, slipping to 61 GRPs.
