A big thank you to the Happy December team

Finally, Campaign India unveils the team behind the ‘Happy December-It’s that time of year’ series that was launched for the month of December on www.campaignindia.in. The series was launched to lighten the mood of creative adlanders who are known to work really hard in this month of the year.

The team from Publicis Ambience includes Aniruddha Banerjee, chairman; Ashish Khazanchi, vice chairman; Prasanna Sankhe, consultant - NCD;  Akash Das, senior CD; Shantanu Suman, senior art director; Shitu Anand,  creative group head; Sejal Kuvavila,  creative group head; Vivek Rao,  CD; Ashish Phatak, ACD; M. S. Belliappa, films executive;  Nidhi Kumar, copywriter; Shahrukh Irani, CD and Kartik Smetacek, senior CD. The films have been directed by Zena Khan and Jasmeet Dhodi.

Speaking about the concept of ‘Happy December’, Ashish Khazanchi, vice chairman, Publicis Ambience said, “Anant (Rangaswami) and I had gone out drinking one of the days and we ended up discussing the state of the industry and especially what is specifically going to happen in December. We decided to make a statement about it. In the Happy December series, we are not condemning or condoning it, we are just having a sort of RK Laxman-ish take at it.”

Zena Khan (pictured left) from Storytellers, who shot most of the films, talked about her experience. She said, “It was great fun. It was a good experience getting together with the whole team. The great part about the ‘Happy December’ series was that a lot of ideas for the next films came while we were shooting one of the films in the series. So, it was quite participative. I had great fun.”
