Ad Club Bombay calls for entries for Effie 2011

The Advertising Club Bombay has called for entries for Effie 2011. The last date for submission of entries for Effie 2011 is 11 November 2011. The awards, which recognise effectiveness in advertising, are set to be held on 14 December 2011 in Mumbai.

Sharing his expectations from this year’s event, Ajay Kakar, chief marketing officer - financial services, Aditya Birla Group and chairperson, Effie 2011 said, “The Ad Club organised the first EFFIE in the year 2001. Today, it is a marquee event not only in the calendar of the agencies, but more so among the client fraternity too. We can see this reflect in the growing attention drawn by these awards - what started as 53 entries in 2001 have grown to 276 entries in 2010. And I am confident that the quantity and quality of entries are going to grow significantly, this year too.”

“It is by far the only award that recognises what has worked at the market place and how advertising has contributed towards building a brand. The Effie is the only award that is given to honour how well advertising has impacted the success of the brand at the market place. Also, it is also the only award that is given to both the agency and the client,” he added.

Entries are invited across the 15 categories including ‘Consumer Products’, ‘Consumer Durables’, ‘Services’, ‘Corporate Advertising’,  ‘Digital Advertising (Online / Mobile Communication) Retail Advertising’, ‘Healthcare’, ‘B2B Advertising’,  ‘Rural Advertising’, ‘Regional Advertising’, ‘David v/s Goliath’, ‘Integrated Advertising Campaign’, ‘Grand Effies’, ‘Agency of the Year’ and ‘Client of the Year’.
