Flipboard for iOS and Paper Camera for Android top the charts

Android and iOS apps of the week

Android’s app market has hit 10 billion downloads, and as part of sharing its celebration, Google is holding a 10-day sale. Every day for 10 days, they'll have 10 popular apps on sale for 10 cents. Today is day three of the discount sale. Guess it is time for you to make those app purchases that you have been postponing.

Android app: Paper Camera

Retailing at less than Rs.100, the app can give real time cartoon and painting effects on your camera feed. Reviewers suggest that this app can help them make their graphic novels, comic books and sketches on the fly.

iOS app: Flipboard

Everyone has been raving about it, and if you are one of those who always wished for the app to come on the iPhone, here is it. The free app, which got recognition as Apple's iPad App of the year and also was one of TIME's Top 50 Innovations, Flipboard creates a personalised magazine out of everything being shared, from Instagram photos and Facebook updates to Tumblr posts and articles from publications.
