Breaking news: Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar to join Bates141 as NCD

Sagar Mahabaleswarkar, currently chief creative officer, Rediffusion Y&R is joining Bates141 as national creative director for India and Bangladesh region.He will partner Sonal Dabral, chairman and regional creative director and Sandeep Pathak, CEO in furthering the creative agenda.Sagar is currently serving his notice period at Rediffusion Y&R.

Sagar Mahabaleswarkar, currently chief creative officer, Rediffusion Y&R is joining Bates141 as national creative director for India and Bangladesh region.

He will partner Sonal Dabral, chairman and regional creative director and Sandeep Pathak, CEO in furthering the creative agenda.

Sagar is currently serving his notice period at Rediffusion Y&R.

Commenting on his decision to join Bates141, he said, "It's like coming back home. I have worked with Sonal before and I'm happy to be in that place again. In both Sonal and Pat, I found a shared passion and vision to create great work and I am confident that it will be a successful partnership. Bates141 has a good  portfolio of clients, on which we can up the creative ante immediately."

Sonal Dabral said, "I'm very happy that a talent like Sagar is coming to the Bates141 family. I have worked with Sagar and known him for a long time so that's an added reason why I'm looking forward to working with him again. Bates141 is going through a renaissance right now. We are putting great work at the centre of everything we do. Sagar's passion and his hunger for great ideas will be critical in helping realise this vision.

Sandeep Pathak commented, "Sagar is an old friend, whom I have known for 10 years and admired his work on Tata, Amaron, SBI Life AIrtel. I am absolutely delighted to have him on board. He along with Sonal, both precocious talents,  will help shape and grow our creative talent pool and our product. Besides bringing in one of India's first Cannes Gold, Sagar has some great campaigns on a variety of brands under his belt and I have no doubt he will help in taking Bates 141 to newer heights."

Sagar is a fine Fine Arts graduate. He started with Ogilvy Bangalore and honed his skills on accounts such as Titan, Allen Solly and Brooke Bond. In 1997, he shifted to Ogilvy Mumbai and worked with Piyush Pandey and Sonal Dabral. It is here that he did award winning work for Tata Safari, Tata Sumo, Close-up, SBI Life Insurance, Amaron Batteries, Neo sports and WWF. At Rediffusion Y&R, he worked on Airtel, Tata Nano, Colgate, LG, Sleepwell, Taj, Kingfisher and SugarFree.
