Colors acquires Jhalak Dikhla Jaa

Colors has bagged the acquisition rights to telecast the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa – Dancing with the Stars. The show used to air earlier on Sony Entertainment Television.

Produced by BBC Worldwide Productions India, the fifth season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa will continue to bring together budding choreographers and celebrities from different walks of life like movies, television, sports, and so on.

Commenting on the acquisition of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Raj Nayak, chief executive officer, Colors, said, “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa – Dancing with the Stars is one of the most successful entertainment formats on Indian television and we are happy to collaborate with BBC Worldwide Productions. We have always wanted to showcase a dance show and what better than to acquire the biggest dance format show in the world.”
