Contract team wins AAAI-Cannes Young Lions Creative competition

Anshumani Khanna (pictured, right), copywriter and Priya Gurnani (pictured, left), art director from Contract Advertising, Mumbai have won the AAAI-Cannes Young Lions Creative Competition 2009.The winning team will take part in the Young Lions Creative Competition 2009 at Cannes where they will compete with teams from all over the world in the International Young Lions Creative Competition.

Anshumani Khanna (pictured, right), copywriter and Priya Gurnani (pictured, left), art director from Contract Advertising, Mumbai have won the AAAI-Cannes Young Lions Creative Competition 2009.

The winning team will take part in the Young Lions Creative Competition 2009 at Cannes where they will compete with teams from all over the world in the International Young Lions Creative Competition. 

The initiative has been undertaken by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and supported by The Times Group. The theme of the competition was ‘Stop Domestic Violence against Women’. The selection was a two-stage process. In the first phase, seven out of the 212 entries were shortlisted. In the second phase, the shortlisted teams made a presentation before the jury on the work done by them in the past and the thought process behind the entries submitted by them. 

Vinod Nair, executive committee member, AAAI and currently in charge of this initiative of the AAAI, was the convener of the competition. K V Sridhar, national creative director, Leo Burnett and Bobby Pawar, chief creative officer, Mudra Group were jury members.
