Creativeland Asia bags HomeShop18, makes NCR foray

Mumbai-headquartered Creativeland Asia has bagged the creative duties of e-Commerce and tele-shopping brand Homeshop18. With this mandate, the agency is foraying into the NCR market.

On the partnership with Creativeland Asia, Sundeep Malhotra, Founder and CEO HomeShop18, said, “We like the work done by Creativeland Asia and their approach to brand building, and found synergy in our mutual thinking. We believe that we have in Creativeland Asia brand partners who would be able to help take our brand development plans forward.”

Sajan Raj Kurup, founder and creative chairman, added, “Online retail is an exciting category to build brands in. I have been waiting to wield the Creativeland magic in this category. Creativeland looks forward to working on HomeShop18.”

Homeshop18, which started with a 24 hour home shopping TV channel in 2008, forayed into e-commerce with homeshop18.com in 2011 and introduced mobile shopping in 2012.

Creativeland’s NCR foray

Creativeland Asia will set up an office in Gurgaon and look to hire local talent shortly, said Kurup. Senior resources from Mumbai will move to handle NCR operations even as new hands are inducted.

On the foray into the NCR region, he revealed that it had been on the cards, and said, I am looking at this market with great enthusiasm and passion. We are currently in the process of structuring our operations.”

He added, “We plan to operate in Delhi in true Creativeland Asia style – cautiously, selectively with brands that value and respect creativity. We are in no hurry to grow business at the expense of our culture. And we are always looking for partners who can grow our culture.”
