FAB Awards 2013: McCann India’s ‘Yamraaj’ for Zara wins in Guerilla Marketing
McCann Worldgroup’s Yamraaj campaign for client Zara Tapas Bar won the lone Indian FAB Award at the 2013 edition of the International Food and Beverage Creative Excellence Awards announced in London on 30 May.
 
The agency’s experiential campaign to dissuade drunken driving after a night at the Chennai pub won in the Guerilla marketing category.
 

 
JWT London was adjudged FAB Agency of the Year 2013, on the basis of number of nominations (equivalents of Silver / Bronze), FAB Awards (Gold) and FABulous Awards (Grand Prix / Best of Show). The agency bagged six nominations across categories, won three FAB Awards and one FABulous Award.
 
The agency won FAB Awards for two of its entries for Kit Kat: 'We Will Find You' in the Sales Promotion category and 'Break From Gravity' in Guerilla Marketing.
 
JWT London’s FABulous Award (and third FAB) came in the Press category. Its entry HoHoHo for client Hovis won the agency the award.
 
“JWT London truly deserves this accolade for an outstanding year of creative excellence across several communication disciplines and markets. Their outstanding nominations are from major clients such as Hovis, Kit Kat and Yorkie, and span across a number of categories like Press, TV, Guerilla, Sales Promotion and Best use of Media,” said Neeraj Nayar, president, FAB Awards.
 
Also winning a FABulous Award in Press was Amplifier for Coca-Cola FM by JWT Brazil.
Two other entries won FABulous Awards this year. In the Collateral and POS category, the entry Small Currency for McDonald’s by Leo Burnett Indonesia won maximum. In the category of Branded Content, work on Cloud 9 by Grey Melbourne won the agency top honour.
