(Editor’s note: As the Awards Governing Council has not assigned weightages to metals, we have followed the Olympic system of scoring for the Abby Awards again this year, according to which most Grand Prix awards scores over most Golds, scores over most Silvers and, finally, most Bronzes.)
On the final night of Goafest 2012, Creativeland Asia picked up a Grand Prix for Audi ‘A8L 3D Experience’ in Integrated, and a Gold as well for the same campaign.
Overall Ogilvy & Mather India topped the medal tally of Creative Abbys presented on 20 and 21 April 2012. On the second night, Ogilvy picked up four Golds (Imperial Blue ‘Anniversary’ in Film, Tata Sky ‘Poochne Mein Kya Jaata Hai’ in Radio, Mentos Sour Marbels ‘Head 1 – Robe’, ‘Head 2 – Nails’, ‘Head 3 – Stitches’ in OOH and Print). The agency also won 11 Silvers and 20 Bronzes. In total, the agency has 1 Grand Prix, 11 Golds, 16 Silvers and 23 Bronzes.

In total, Creativeland Asia ended up with seven metals of which one was a Grand Prix, one a gold, and five were Silvers.
On the night of 21 April, Taproot won six Golds (Airtel ‘Har Friend Zaroori Hai’ in Film and Integrated; Audio Book India ‘Jackie Chan’, ‘Dalai Lama’, ‘Andre Agassi’ in OOH and Print; The Times of India ’Visual Classifieds’ in Print Craft; Pepsi ‘Change The Game’ in Integrated). The agency also won nine Silvers and 12 Bronzes. In total, the agency won 34 metals over both nights of the awards – six Golds, 13 Silvers, 15 Bronzes.
Leo Burnett won two Golds on 21 April (Bajaj Bulbs ‘Wrist watch’, ‘Rolling pin’ in Print Craft, ‘Gandhijifont – Now In Hardcover’ in Print Craft), along with nine Silvers and 18 Bronzes. In total, the agency won three Golds, 11 Silvers and 21 Bronzes.
DDB Mudra Group won one Gold (Sanctuary Magazine ‘Bear’, ‘Panda’, ‘Penguin’ in Print Craft), as well as 10 Silvers and 13 Bronzes. In total, the agency earned two Golds, 13 Silvers, 17 Bronzes.
The other Gold winners on the final night of the Creative Abbys were BBDO (White Collar Hippies ‘Terrorism’, ‘Sea level’, ‘Nuclear’ in Print), Grey (Killer Jeans ‘Strip The Summer’ in Print Craft), JWT (F-70 ‘Orgasm (Genuine Smile) in OOH), Ramesh Deo Productions (Mumbai Mirror ‘I am Mumbai’ in Film Craft), XOX Design (Transasia ‘Not My Type’ in Print Craft), Apostophe Films (Spice Mobiles ‘Popcorn’ in Film Craft), Nirvana (Vodafone ‘Super Zoozoo’ in Film Craft), Studio Eeksaurus Films (Google Chrome ‘The Web Is What You Make Of It’ in Film Craft), Phoenix Ogilvy (Titus Knives ‘Fine Cuts - Pear’, ‘Fine Cuts – Apple’, ‘Fine Cuts – Orange’ in South Asia OOH).
