IBD wins Panasonic Viera’s creative account

IBD, a Percept Hakuhodo company, has rolled out a campaign for Panasonic’s Viera range of consumer electronics. The agency won the account recently following a multi-agency pitch. The account size is pegged at Rs 70 crore.

IBD has signed Ranbir Kapoor as Viera’s brand ambassador. Rahul Gupta, MD & CEO, IBD India commented, "Ranbir Kapoor epitomizes style and youthful energy and, therefore, was a perfect match for Viera. Ranbir’s association with Panasonic will be leveraged for the entire consumer electronic range including the LCDs and Plasma Home Theatres to effectively communicate the brand values of the company.”

The film is based on the premise that when you acquire an LCD or Plasma, it becomes the talk of the entire neighbourhood. “Built around this creative concept, the spot opens with some of the hottest women from the entire neighbourhood ending up at Kapoor’s house, in a rapid-fire sequence. They shamelessly flirt with him just to get a chance to sit in front of a Panasonic Viera,” added Gupta.
