Imagine appoints Saurabh Tewari as head of programming - fiction

Turner General Entertainment Networks has announced the appointment of Saurabh Tewari as head of programming – Fiction for its flagship Hindi GEC, Imagine. Tewari brings over a decade of experience in the media and entertainment industry. Prior to his move to Imagine, he was associate vice president and creative director at Colors.

Turner General Entertainment Networks has announced the appointment of Saurabh Tewari as head of programming – Fiction for its flagship Hindi GEC, Imagine. Tewari brings over a decade of experience in the media and entertainment industry. Prior to his move to Imagine, he was associate vice president and creative director at Colors.

 
Confirming the development, Harsh Rohatgi, head content and communications said, "These are exciting times for us at Imagine.  Post our acquisition by Turner, we are investing aggressively in our content and people. To that end, we are very excited to have Saurabh join the team at this important juncture and we are certain that his experience and understanding of the business and our audience will help us achieve our objective of becoming the leading player in the Hindi GE space."
 
Commenting on his new move, Tewari said, "The channel has a good line up of fiction shows and many exciting plans on the anvil. It's grown consistently over the past year and I am looking forward to working with the management team to take Imagine to a leadership position in this space."
 
A Bachelor of Arts from Lucknow University, Tewari began his career directing ad films. In 2006, he joined Zee Telefilms as assistant vice-president of programming for ZEE TV after which he joined Viacom 18 in late 2007. Here he worked in the team that was a part of the launch of Colors.
