Kerala IT industry unveils website, coffee table book

The Kerala government has recently unveiled the website for Kerala IT. The website, which can be accessed at www.manoramaonline.com/it, was launched by the state's chief minister V.S. Achutanandan. In addition, a coffee table book, IT @ Kerala - The Smart State was also launched alongwith the website. Both, the website and the book, are a initiative of Junction K, the integrated media solutions from Manorama Group.

The Kerala government has recently unveiled the website for Kerala IT. The website, which can be accessed at www.manoramaonline.com/it, was launched by the state's chief minister V.S. Achutanandan. In addition, a coffee table book, IT @ Kerala - The Smart State was also launched alongwith the website. Both, the website and the book, are a initiative of Junction K, the integrated media solutions from Manorama Group.

The site and the coffee table book come as part of the Government of Kerala’s aim to promote the brand Kerala IT.

“Kerala has put its commitment to the development of IT in bold letters and we are insistent to follow this development plan to a comprehensive realization in a time bound manner, as we envisage Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) as the prime driver of the state’s economy. We have developed our IT policy with the idea of inclusive growth, to enable socio-economic transformation possible through ICT to reach every single citizen of the State, simultaneously benefiting IT investors as well.” said Dr. Ajay Kumar IAS, principal secretary, IT.

Speaking about the book, he said, “The coffee table book is our initiative to provide an insight to potential investors about the exciting opportunities and conducive environment Kerala has to offer for the development of IT.”

The site claims to be a one-click source for information regarding IT investment opportunities in Kerala and latest IT news from the state. The website will also feature exclusive interviews with CEOs of infotech companies and senior government officials. Interactive features including blogs and videos will showcase the infrastructure and human resource advantages of the state. Techies can also be able to access information regarding leisure and travel in Kerala and latest gadgets.

Meanwhile, the coffee table book, IT @ Kerala - The Smart State, aims to depict the journey of Kerala from being God’s Own Country to becoming one of the most important IT destinations for IT investment. It gives an overview of Kerala's IT industry - highlighting the strengths and growth potential in Kerala.
