L&K Saatchi & Saatchi has been appointed the creative agency for gum and candy brands from Mondelez in India. Mondelez has a presence in the segment with mentholated candy brand Halls and chocolate brand Choclairs.

This is in line with a regional alignment already in place. Saatchi & Saatchi handles the business for Mondelez in markets like China, Japan and Thailand.

The incumbent for these brands in India was Contract Advertising.

Speaking with Campaign India, Anil Nair, CEO and managing partner, L&K Saatchi & Saatchi India, said, “The India shift was based on L&K Saatchi & Saatchi's strengths which have finally got the business to us. We had to come and show our capabilities to the client in India."

He added, "Choclairs and Halls are iconic brands in India and we look forward to building a winning partnership with Mondelez in India. We are all very excited with the opportunity to create excellent work and together we hope to grow the brands and our clients’ business in India.”

Amit Shah, associate director – marketing – gum, candy and powdered beverages, Mondelez India, said, “We look forward to creative excellence and work that will help grow and strengthen our brands. Saatchi & Saatchi has delivered impressive work in Apac region and we hope to see the same in India.”
