Bollywood-New releases
LSD
Somewhere, you feel LSD is a reflection of things happening around us, but just that. Although it shows its characters making choices, right or wrong, the film does not offer a conclusion neither does it attempt to get preachy and offer a solution. LSD is simply 'what you see is what you get'. With the constraints of making a commercially viable and releasable film, LSD does not really tackle voyeurism in depth. IBNLive
The film is bold, bare, intense, stark and dark but Bannerjee’s storytelling is so superlative that it stimulates your senses without having to resort to tawdry elements. Indiatimes

Lahore
Lahore works due to several reasons. Firstly, because of its topicality which strikes the right note in this season when India and Pakistan are seeking a new equilibrium in their relationship. Secondly because of its narrative style which is the antithesis of nationalistic chest-beating Gadar-like films. The Times of India
On the whole, Lahore is a small little gem that takes you by surprise and catches you completely unaware. The finale in the boxing ring itself is worth the price of the ticket and more. I suggest, you make time for this one. Oneindia

Hollywood-New releases
The Book of Eli
It's not the kind of movie that allows questions and, sadly, the filmmakers seem more obsessed with style than substance. And yet, there is potential, but if the story doesn't pull you in, what else will keep you rivetted in what becomes two very long hours? If you liked... Resident Evil: Extinction or Babylon AD... you might like this one. Tonight
You can avoid the few plot holes (like Eli saying he’s walked for 30 years looking for the West Coast), and just enjoy this fresh take on a tired topic that’s filmed in a very atmospheric and interesting way. San Diego

Young Victoria
Dignified and charismatic, Blunt gives great lip-wobble, and Friend pulls off the role of sidekick, but historical twiddling can’t render Victoria’s love life interesting and the only moving moment is the epilogue: 20 years’ happy marriage is more than most of us get, but 40 years of sorrowful widowhood is tragedy indeed. Time Out
It’s a muddled but plush experience overall, and if you’re a royalist completist or a historical romantic, you’ll probably have a decent time. Boston

The Lovely Bones
It is handsomely made and strongly acted, while its woozy, lullaby ambience recalls Jackson's work on the brilliant Heavenly Creatures, before he set forth on his epic voyage through The Lord of the Rings. Guardian
The Lovely Bones is not for everyone, and certainly one to keep the kids back from, but I loved it.It will undoubtedly stir some sort of emotion in you and features a potential star of the future (Ronan) and best performance of the year so far (Tucci). Acadvertiser

DVD Recommendation
For this weekend, Stuff India recommends DVD of Spirited Away
Spirited Away
Spirited Away is the perfect movie to watch if you’re not familiar with Hayao Miyazaki’s work. Anime might seem a little out there for non-believers, but believe us; this delightfully quirky Alice in Wonderland-ish tale will leave you satisfied.
