Heavy rains and the monsoon should not dampen your spirits this weekend as there's plenty for one to catch on television over this weekend. There's loads of high quality cricket and football action coming your way.

To start off, there's the ongoing Micromax tri-nation ODI series going on in Sri Lanka. With each team having won one and lost one game in the first round of games, be sure to get some high octance cricket action with the teams knowing a loss at this stage could mean elimination. Catch New Zealand play Sri Lanka today and India play Sri Lanka on Sunday. Both the games start at 14:30 hours and are live on TEN Sports.

There's more cricket coming your way through the Pakistan tour of England. Catch day's three, four and five on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively, starting at 15:30 hours Live on STAR Cricket.

Further, there's action from the Barclays Premier League. The action for the weekend kicks off at 19:25 hours Live on Saturday with newly promoted Blackpool travelling to North London to play Arsenal. After this at 21:55 hours, watch champions Chelsea travel to Wigan.

On Sunday, Newcastle will play their first home game after their return to the league, when they host Aston Villa in the early kick- off at 17:55 hours. This will be followed by Manchester United's trip to Craven Cottege to play Fulham at 20:30 hours.
