Prathap Suthan quits Cheil Worldwide

Cheil Worldwide south west Asia NCD, Prathap Suthan, is leaving the organisation. His departure will be effective January 2011.

Suthan has announced that he will be setting up his own independent agency soon. He has been with Cheil since 2007. Cheil is currently looking for Suthan's replacement.

Confirming the news, Suthan said, “Cheil is one place that has a true passion for ideas. I had a fantastic time at the agency. I had been contemplating about setting up my own shop for some time and have finally taken the plunge.”

Commenting on the development, Cheil Worldwide SW Asia COO, Alok Agrawal, said, “In the time Pat has been here, he has put together a fantastic team, lined our walls with awards and developed path breaking work with great results for our clients. I’m incredibly proud of what the team has achieved together. We respect his decision and I am happy to say that Pat will continue to be associated with us as a mentor and consultant in his new avatar.”

“Prathap has lead Cheil’s creative for India and has delivered phenomenal work in the last 3 years. Now we have the task to search for a new creative head for the next phase of the agency’s evolution,” said Bruce Haines, Global COO, Cheil Worldwide.
