Rana Barua moves out of Red FM

Red FM’s chief operating officer, Rana Barua has put in his papers at the organisation. He is currently serving his notice period at the organisation. Barua has confirmed the development.

Though Barua didn’t confirm his future plans, it is understood from industry sources that he will be starting his own agency in the coming months.

Prior to joining Red FM, Barua worked with Radio City in various capacities. Barua joined the station in 2006 as head, South zone, and was responsible for the Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad markets. He became the national marketing head, and eventually moved out as executive vice president and national head, programming and marketing. Prior to his radio experience, Barua has worked with Bates Enterprises, JWT, Ogilvy India, McCann Erickson and Rediffusion Y&R.
