Rediffusion-Y&R Delhi brings in Bhaskar Ghosh as branch head

Bhaskar Ghosh has joined Rediffusion-Y&R Delhi as branch head. He will report to Amitava Sinha, chief operating officer, Rediffusion-Y&R. Ghosh replaces Abhik Santara, who left the agency in early June.

Ghosh moves from Contract Advertising Delhi where he was senior vice president - account management. He joined Contract in 2005 and has worked on accounts like Domino’s Pizza, NIIT, Ten Sports and Google. Ghosh has also had stints at TBWA, Leo Burnett, Bates and Grey.

Sinha said, “With Bhaskar coming on board, we now have a strong leadership in place in Delhi. Going forward, our focus will be on making Rediffusion Delhi the destination agency for both clients and talent by fostering a culture of both creative and strategic excellence.”

D Rajappa, president, Rediffusion-Y&R, said, “Delhi is an important growth market and I am confident that Bhaskar will be able to deliver value to our clients through his impeccable pedigree in handling diverse categories of brands. His focus will be to be a trusted advisor for our brands and help the brands take a leap in the communication space.’’

Ghosh said, “I am quite excited and looking forward to both the opportunities and challenges that come with this new role. The need to build a strong understanding of client businesses and brands will be one of the key things one would like to focus on. And in the process deliver some meaningful work, together with colleagues in the agency. My personal belief is true glory comes to any agency only through effective solutions for brands.”
